Position Overview
As a Cosmetic Repair Associate, you play a vital role in ensuring every CarMax vehicle meets our quality standards. In this position, you’ll perform Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), cosmetic wheel restoration, and a variety of interior cosmetic repairs during the reconditioning process. Your expertise will cover fabric, vinyl, leather, plastic, and carpet repairs, including dye and color-matching techniques. Role Responsibilities
- Perform advanced cosmetic repairs including Paintless Dent Removal (PDR), wheel refinishing, and interior restoration to meet CarMax standards
- Execute standardized processes and follow detailed work instructions for consistent quality
- Remove and replace vehicle parts as needed during reconditioning
- Deliver exceptional service to internal teams and external customers
- Ensure all vehicles meet CarMax quality and safety requirements
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of New Associate Orientation Training – Operations
- Ability to meet performance and workstation certification standards
- Strong attention to detail for data interpretation and record accuracy
- Capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor conditions, including inclement weather
- Effective communication skills for customer and team interactions
- Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and 12-hour shifts
