Role Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout every interaction.
- Build rapport quickly with diverse customers and confidently explain the CarMax appraisal process.
- Communicate effectively in-person and by phone to understand customer motivations and follow up with undecided sellers.
- Advocate for CarMax, clearly sharing why we’re the smart choice for selling a car.
- Facilitate appraisal steps, including discovery, presenting offers, and addressing objections.
- Accurately collect and input data to support precise appraisal offers and maintain composure under pressure, ensuring a positive experience in challenging situations.
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail for reading, interpreting, and transcribing data accurately.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-energy, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills for engaging with customers and team members.
- Completion of CarMax training and participation in scheduled meetings.
- Physical capability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, while wearing CarMax-provided work attire.
